这金句实在是实用的祷告技巧，能成就出乎意料的结果。祷告不能蒙垂听，理由之一是我们祈求的时候，没有真正期待会被垂听。我们很会祈求，但不善于接受。
祷告，属灵的原则劝我们，如果你祈求，就要相信你所祈求的会蒙垂听。举例来说，如果你想逃离恐惧，就要求主让你逃离恐惧，然后相信主会随时应允你所求的。现在就从心底祈求主赐福，并相信主会垂听你所求的，如此你的祈求必蒙垂听。
